RULES CITIES

Cities mode builds on the classic mode. The modes are the same in:

The difference is in:

CITY

After the Negotation, you get one city node with one soldier.

The city is the only place where you can spawn soldiers. After a move, all territories not connected with a city will become neutral. So if you lose all cities, you lose everything.

Three territories of the green player became neutral because they were not connected with a city.

ACTIONS

At every turn, you can command many actions. You can move, spawn, and disband soldiers. You can build farms, towers, and cities. Or you can destroy a building.

Every action you perform takes only 1 turn.

Each node can have only 1 building. Building and destroying cost 1 soldier to perform.

FARM AND TOWER

A node with a farm counts as 3 territories instead of 1.

A node with a tower has increased defense capabilities. It increases the defense bonus from 0.5 to 1.

The blue player's army has a strength of 2 because it defends a node with a tower.

The defense bonus of a tower only applies to cases where the owner is defending.

ORDER OF EVALUATION

Some situations are not clear. For example, what happens when the enemy overcomes the node you were building on? The exact order of evaluation is:

  1. removing soldiers (building, disbanding)
  2. movement of soldiers
  3. spawning, finishing building
  4. split territory

The spawning soldier does not have any strength.

The green player captured a node with a building in progress.

The green player prevented a massive loss of territory by building a city.
